This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit either Provider Site, apply to join our network, or otherwise use our provider portal or services (collectively, the "Provider Services") as a contractor or service business ("you").

- Job-related information, including quotes, scope agreements, invoices, change orders, and job notes
- Photos and documentation of work performed

c) Information From Customers and Third Parties We may receive information from Customers (such as ratings, reviews, and dispute-related details), background-check or verification providers, payment processors, and advertising or analytics partners.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Evaluate and process Provider applications, including verifying business, licensing, and insurance information where applicable;
- Match Providers with relevant Customer leads;
- Facilitate secure, in-app communication between Providers and Customers;
- Support scope agreements, invoicing, change orders, and the review-and-release payment process;
- Maintain documentation of completed jobs for trust, dispute resolution, and record-keeping purposes;
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Provider Sites and Provider Services;
- Communicate with you about leads, your application, or your account;
- Send marketing communications where permitted, and in accordance with your preferences;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or abuse;
- Comply with legal and tax obligations.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
Where applicable data protection law requires it, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: your consent, the necessity of processing to perform a contract with you (e.g., your Provider agreement), our legitimate interests in operating and improving our platform and vetting Providers, and compliance with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Customers, including your business name, ratings/reviews, quotes, and job documentation, in order to facilitate matching and completed work;
- Service providers, such as hosting, payment processing, background-check, analytics, marketing, and customer communication vendors, who process data on our behalf;
- Advertising and tracking partners, to measure Provider Site activity and marketing performance, as described in our Cookies Policy;
- Legal and regulatory authorities, where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of ProofSeal, our users, or others;
- Successors, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
Because ProofPros and ProofSeal are both operated by ProofSeal, Inc., information collected through one brand's Provider Site may be used across both brands and shared internally as needed to operate the Provider Services.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Provider Sites use cookies and similar tracking technologies, including performance/analytics cookies, marketing and lead-tracking cookies, functional cookies, and consent-management cookies. For details, please see our Cookies Policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal and business information, including licensing/insurance records, job documentation, and payment history, for as long as necessary to operate the Provider Services, verify ongoing eligibility, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Request deletion of your personal information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your information;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Request portability of your data;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising, where applicable (e.g., under U.S. state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA).
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 11 below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. Note that deleting certain job or licensing records may affect your ability to remain an active Provider or resolve an open dispute.
8. International Data Transfers
Information we collect may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, consistent with applicable data protection laws.
9. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal and business information, including licensing, insurance, and payment details, from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
The Provider Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information.
